The model for the future design of human living areas is a “smart city” with intelligent technologies and applications. Smart Cities utilize sensors and controllers in outdoor lighting to conserve resources and enhance human comfort and safety.
The best LED lighting systems integrate intelligent modules via a ‘twistlock’ connection. With this evolution in mind, BJB, in accordance with Zhaga Book 18 standards, has developed the 47.121 series of module receptacles for easy installation and exchange of smart modules.

The new 47.121 receptacle represents a universal solution for sensors and communication modules, which are connected by means of a ‘twistlock’ system. They can be changed, replaced or subsequently installed in an outdoor luminaire without difficulty. In the latter case, the receptacle is temporarily sealed with a tight-fitting cap.
Easy to install, safe to handle and made of high-quality materials
Like every product from BJB, the 47.121 receptacle is designed for safe, long-term use. In addition to the criteria set out in Zhaga Book 18, typical BJB advantages are also evident, such as easy installation and the use of high-quality materials. The receptacle can be attached to carriageway, street and surface area lights in an upwards, sideways or downwards direction by means of a standardised panel cut-out. For communication and data transmission, the connected module is provided with a DC line and DALI 2 or a 2-wire bus. The fourth connection is reserved as a digital IO port. The contacts have a maximum load of 2 A, 24 V. The module is hot pluggable and takes solid or stranded tinned conductors between 0.5 and 1.5 mm. It is certified according to DIN EN 61984 and UL 773 and has protection class rating IP66.
