September 17, 2020 at 11:33 pm 0

As mentioned in our last post, BJB is launching a new generation of reflectors that can be combined with different COB's and other components for spot downlights that are exquisitely tailored to your retail or exhibit requirements.

In addition to our the product series 35.835 (Ø 50 mm used with connector series  47.360 with Ø 35 mm), we've released series 35.850 (Ø 110 mm for use with connector series 47.319 with Ø 50 mm). In order to offer additional application possibilities for our customers, we offer our new reflector series as a practical modular solution with our large reflectors being featured today:

The reflector interface is adapted to the mixing cone of the connector. Also, visually disturbing openings of the connector are partly covered.

Product Information for consideration:

  • Recommended for COB's with LES < 17 mm
  • Reflector can only be used by screw fixing the spotlight connector with dome headed screws and locking washer.
  • Beam angle (FWHM) measured with Citizen CLU38 and connector 47.319.2025.50.
  • Beam angle (FWHM): 14.8°
  • Efficiency: 87%
  • Beam angle depends on used COB and its LES.

About BJB:

Founded in 1867 by Friedrich Wilhelm Brokelmann, Franz Jager and Gustav Busse, BJB has been associated with lighting technology for more than 150 years. Initially the business began by manufacturing components for oil lamps. Since the beginning of the 20th century, BJB has been providing the electrical connection between the power source and the lamp. Equipped with this knowledge, the company continuously developed user-friendly lampholder systems, terminal blocks and switches up to the present day for markets throughout the world.

In other words: BJB provides a “Connection to Light”. The process that these “connections” are installed and the progress which can be achieved in light fitting assembly is the objective of a further area of operation: ADS automation. Here we develop, build and supply customer-specific systems for the automation of light fitting production. A third important element is our lighting solutions for domestic appliances, as a dominant player in the industry. Visit us at BjB.com! We are “Technology for Light”.

Introducing the latest generation of reflectors from BJB – our 50 mm reflector
September 11, 2020 at 1:59 pm 0

BJB is excited to introduce our practical modular system where all components come from a single platform. Our reflectors are optimally used with accent lighting in retail applications or wherever products or exhibits are displayed.

For focused and seamless illumination of highlighted products, BJB now offers a perfect solution with our product series 35.835 (Ø 50 mm used with connector series  47.360 with Ø 35 mm. This new generation of reflectors can be combined with different COB's and other components for spot-or-downlights that are perfectly tailored to your requirements.

What's New?

The new reflectors differ from previous models primarily in the flush connection of the reflector to the mixing cone of the connection element. Furthermore, any optically disruptive openings in the connection element are eliminated. The reflectors have a modern, attractive design.

There are a large selection of connecting elements: Series 35.835 reflectors are optimized for use with BJB COB holders 47.360.1020.50. Regarding 'Optical Components', reflectors can be combined with a diffusor lens, a cover plate or a diffuser plate, depending on the desired light control and purpose of the application.
